# Getting Started with Your API

Welcome to the API documentation. This guide walks you through authentication, making your first request, and handling responses.

## Authentication

All requests require a Bearer token in the `Authorization` header:

## Endpoints

| Method | Path | Description |
|--------|------|-------------|
| GET | /users | List all users |
| POST | /users | Create a user |
| GET | /users/:id | Get user by ID |

## Response Format

All responses return JSON with a consistent structure:

### Error Handling

Errors include a human-readable **message** and a machine-readable **code**:

- `400` - Bad request (invalid parameters)
- `401` - Unauthorized (missing or invalid token)
- `404` - Resource not found
- `429` - Rate limit exceeded

> **Note:** Rate limits reset every 60 seconds. Check the `X-RateLimit-Remaining` header for your current quota.
